Cyber Security

Well, it’s the era that we’re are living in, is totally depended on Internet for every smallest chore. Waking up with a cell phone in hand to surfing social media platforms at night requires technology and communication medium.

So yes, its quiet evident that our lives revolve around Internet and clearly, no one can deny about the fact aforesaid. Keeping in mind the Amenities it provides to us, we share our real time information about life and work on Internet via various mediums.

But how is it going to be safe on a platform which is driven by all and is transparent at the same time?

Well, for that we require to understand the generic term of Cyber Security i.e. being secure in the virtual or the cyber world.

Cyber security or information technology security is the protection of computer systems from theft or damage to their hardware, software or electronic data, as well as from disruption or misdirection of the services they provide.

With a definition it too comes with a package of importance which has to be a popularised in this era of technology.

So here we come to a question. When it comes to buying any appliances we tend to gather information about its reliability, facilities and cost factor. Isn’t it?

Now, it is where Cyber Security has a role to play in the business world.

Suffering a cyber-attack can cause customers to lose trust in business and spend their money elsewhere. Additionally, having a reputation for poor security can also lead to a failure to win new contracts. Thus, any business organisation requires highly secure Internet medium if they tend to thrive.

Almost every business has a website and externally exposed systems that could provide criminals with entry points into internal networks. Hackers have a lot to gain from successful data breaches, and there are countless examples of well-funded and coordinated cyber-attacks against some of the largest companies in the UK.

Anyway, it’s hilarious but US has got more trained and professional black hat hackers than any part of the world having White hat hackers.

With highly sophisticated attacks now commonplace, businesses need to assume that they will be breached at some point and implement controls that help them to detect and respond to malicious activity before it causes damage and disruption.

Well now, that we already know about how cyber security works, the blame game cannot just be played between the attackers and the defenders.

Government here too has a role to play. It’s high time government has to make some really strict laws against Cyber Attacks and even if they exist, a proper implementation is required.

It is the moral duty of the government to make common man aware about the safety in the virtual world and cons of not getting aware about the Cyber security.
